Getting a quote

Simple, quick and hassle-free

Send us a photo and we'll take care of the rest. You don't need to measure anything yourself.

Send us a photo of the glass

Stand back and get as much of the panel and its frame in shot as you can. That one photo tells us the door type, the glazing and roughly what we are working with.

Tell us your pet's breed

Breed and rough weight let us suggest a door size straight away, and flag early if a cat and a large dog will need different options.

Tell us your suburb

So we can work out travel and give you a realistic date for the measure.

The installation

Then here's how the installation works

Toughened glass can't be cut once it's made. That's why every job starts with an accurate measure and ends with a purpose-built panel.

On-site measure

We accurately measure your existing glass panel and discuss the best pet door size and position based on your pet and your home.

Custom glass panel

A brand-new replacement panel is manufactured with the pet door cut-out incorporated before the toughening process, so the finished panel stays safe, compliant and built to last.

Professional installation

Our glaziers remove the old panel and install the new one with your pet door fitted. We check the fit, operation and finish, and leave your home clean and tidy.

FAQs

Common questions about glass pet doors

Can you cut my existing glass panel?

No. Existing toughened (tempered) safety glass cannot be cut or modified - attempting it will cause the glass to shatter.

Instead we measure your existing panel and have a brand-new toughened safety glass panel manufactured with the pet door opening completed before the toughening process.

Can I supply my own pet door?

Yes. We're happy to install customer-supplied pet doors provided they're suitable for the application.

For glass installations we recommend having the pet door available at the measure so we can confirm the exact cut-out size and check compatibility.

I've got a cat and a large dog. Is one pet door suitable?

Sometimes, but not always. A flap large enough for a Labrador or Border Collie can be difficult for a small cat or puppy to push open, simply because of its weight.

At the measure we can recommend the most suitable pet door for the size, breed and number of pets in your household.

How close to the bottom of the glass can the pet door be installed?

It depends on the style of pet door and the type of glass. Square pet doors can often sit very close to the bottom of the panel, which suits smaller pets. Circular and larger pet doors usually need greater clearance from the edges to maintain strength and meet manufacturing requirements.

We'll position the door at the safest and most practical height for your pet.

How long does it take to get a pet door installed?

After measuring and quote approval, single glazed glass is approximately 7-10 business days. Double glazed units typically take 3-6 weeks depending on the manufacturer.

We'll give you an estimated installation date when your order is confirmed.

I'm not sure what size pet door to get.

That's what the on-site measure is for. We'll size it around your pet's breed and weight, their shoulder height, whether they're still growing, where the door is going, and any future pets you may have.

The goal is a pet door that's comfortable for your pet to use while keeping the strength and appearance of your glazing.
